Plain delivery checks only tell you an email was sent. Formitor goes further and reads where it landed by sending a tagged test to a seed inbox we control.
How to read it
- Inbox — best case; reaching the primary inbox.
- Promotions — still delivered, just sorted into Gmail's Promotions tab. Tab placement is decided by the recipient's mail provider based on content, not by a failure on your side. A brand-new or low-engagement inbox tabs more mail into Promotions.
- Spam — needs attention; check your SPF/DKIM/DMARC and sending reputation.
Promotions is normal for form notifications and isn't cause for panic — but a steady trend toward Promotions or Spam is worth investigating.
