Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Formitor. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
Formitor provides synthetic monitoring of web forms. It submits tagged test entries on a schedule, verifies whether the resulting notification email is delivered, and surfaces the results and alerts in your dashboard. Monitoring is delivered through a WordPress plugin you install on the sites you connect, together with checks run from our own servers.
Your agreement is with the operator of Formitor. Ask through the contact page for the contracting entity details.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the security of your account and for everything done under it. Keep your credentials private. We support multi factor authentication and recommend enabling it. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Sites you may connect
You may only connect sites you own or are authorised to monitor. Before Formitor sends any traffic to a site, we verify control of that domain through a signed exchange with the site itself. A site that fails verification receives no monitoring traffic at all. You must not attempt to point the service at a domain you do not control, and you must not use Formitor to load, probe, scan, or disrupt anything.
You are responsible for the configuration you set: which forms are checked, how often, who receives alerts, and any public status page you publish.
4. Test submissions
Formitor submits tagged synthetic entries to the forms you connect. These are generated by the service, redirected away from your real notification recipients, and cleaned up on the retention window set in the plugin. You acknowledge that connected forms will receive these submissions, and that it is your responsibility to inform your own clients that their forms are being monitored this way.
5. Availability and accuracy
We re-check before alerting, so a single transient error does not page you. Even so, monitoring is provided as is. We do not guarantee that every failure mode is detected, that every alert is delivered, or that the service is uninterrupted. Formitor is a safeguard on top of your own diligence, not a replacement for it. We do not currently offer a service level agreement.
6. Plans, limits and billing
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Plan limits, including the number of monitors, the minimum check interval, and available regions, are enforced by the service and not merely displayed. If you exceed your check allowance we reduce check frequency rather than stop monitoring or block your forms.
Fees are charged in advance for the billing period you select and are not refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time and your subscription runs to the end of the paid period. We will give notice before any price change takes effect for your account.
7. Your data
What we collect, where it is processed, and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy. You keep ownership of your data. You can export it or ask us to delete it.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Formitor to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to send unsolicited mail, to reverse engineer or resell the service without agreement, or to interfere with its operation or security. We may suspend an account that is causing harm, and we will tell you why.
9. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for non payment, for a breach of these terms, or where continuing would expose us or a third party to harm. Except in urgent cases we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost leads, lost revenue, or lost business arising from a form failure the service did not detect or did not alert you to in time. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated here and, where the change affects your rights, notified to the email on your account before taking effect.
12. Governing law
The governing law and venue for any dispute will be the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is established. Ask through the contact page if you need this confirmed before signing up.
