The Formitor plugin updates itself. This tutorial covers the three paths and when to use each.
Quick tour:
Path 1: automatic (the default)
Do nothing. Every connected site checks for a new plugin version on WordPress’s own update schedule and installs it, typically within about 12 hours of release. Downloads are verified against a published sha256 before install; a tampered package is refused.
Path 2: push the whole fleet now
Update sites in the sidebar pushes the latest version to every connected site immediately. Sites already current are skipped.
Use it the day a release note says “fixes X” and X is biting you.
Path 3: one site, from wp-admin
The plugin’s own settings page (Tools → Formitor) has Check for updates with a one-click install, and the version badge in its header always shows what’s running.
Spotting stale sites
The dashboard flags any site whose plugin is older than the latest release; the version chip on the site row shows what it’s running. Old spokes still work; they just miss the newest adapters and fixes.
